Renewal ...

AFter having red clay, unraked leaves, and heaven knows what else dumped on it, I finally uncovered my culvert this past weekend. The freed up water has been working its will on the soil and what started out as a three-inch wide version of the Grand Canyon is now one to two feet wide in places and has three distinct water falls. Two I think are natural (tree roots, rocks) the third looks like a railroad tie (???).

At any rate, I am amazed that water can be so distructive - as it is in NOLA, and so creative (as in my stream - which, by the way, a friend described yesterday as a water feature that will up the house's curb appeal. LOL. I don't think in those terms so it gave me a giggle.)
